Library Committee Meetings

Library Committee meetings were held on 11/04/2012, 29/08/2012, 12/12/12, 09/01/13 and 15/02/2013, in which matters  related to library budget, discount structure, purchase procedures, journals subscriptions, fund allocation and Library tickets etc. were discussed and decided.

Growth of Library

Library has grown in terms of it collection of books. Number of books,during the financial year 2012-13,  has increased from 20605 to 22043 (1439 Books, 332 Titles). The library this year spent Rs 9,15,672 on purchase of books.

Apart from the regular subscription to some journals, the library this year has started subscribing to N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Contents) programme of INFLIBNET. This has provided the facility to access a large number of e-resources to the students and staff through out the year 24X7.

Circulation and Overdue Charges

Library circulation (number of issue and return of books) has reached the figure of 79436 during the period of July 2011 to June 2012.

The Library collected Rs. 94918 during the period from April 2012 to March 2013 as overdue charges. The amount was deposited in the accounts department.

Book Exhibitions

Library organized a book exhibition by Pearson on 1^st August 2012.

Library Orientation and Information Literacy Programme

Library organized an Orientation programme for all the students of first year. It also guided the students, batches, for using of N-List e-resources.

Library also helped Yoga club to organize their programmes in the library premises.

Library Training

The Library imparted training to the 5 students of C Lib Sci and Diploma in Lib & Inf Technology of Delhi Library Association

Library Blog

The blog is being updated time to time and since the start of the blog, nearly 9590 pageviews (as on 1 April 2013) have been recorded from various parts of the globe including India (7899), US (302), Germany (76), Russia (73) and UK (19) etc.
